Wind Load Calculations - PH Structural Engineer?
Discussion
Hi all,
LABC has requested I get wind load calculations done for our large extension.
Existing house is a timber framed bungalow, and the extension will also be timber framed single storey (however, quite large).
Local structural engineers are either quoting very long (2-3 months) lead times, or what I feel are fairly high prices (£1200.00 + VAT).
Obviously there is an element of supply and demand going on here, but I don't know what the going rate for this should be?
Any PH structural engineers around that can do wind load calculations?!
Thanks in advance!

Where are you based? My office is in Taunton (though we work nationally) and I'd be amazed if our lot couldn't do it significantly sooner than that and for less cash.
I'm in East Sussex.Presume you'd just need the drawings and construction notes? PM if interested! Thanks
