High pressure bathroom tap, low cold water pressure - help
Discussion
When we ordered our new bathroom tap we had the cold running off the mains and so ordered a high pressure tap. Bathroom fitter said that wasn't a good idea because the pressure differential between the hot and cold could lead to the cold forcing its way up the hot water pipe. So we switched to cold coming out of our tank in the loft, but forgot that our tap was high pressure. We now have a bathroom sink tap with almost no cold water pressure.
As far as I can see the only options are:
1. A new low pressure tap
2. Identical pumps on both the hot and cold feed to the tap
3. Raising the water tank in the loft
I don't like any of them because they're either a lot of work, a lot of money or both.
Anyone got any bright ideas?
