I need a decent, most importantly WARM sleeping bag for sleeping in the back of the van and in the pits whilst at track.

Any recommendations?

cheaper obviously the better.

Or what do I need to look out for at least?

If you aren't hiking with it, I would take a look at Outwell Camperlux.

Down is lighter but more expensive - Alpkit is a good place to start. Probably overkill for your use and you have to factor in specialist cleaning once a year (or more often if you don't use a liner).
