We are off to Le Mans next week and want an awning. Somewhere to sit when it rains or shines for shade but to still be outside.

I like the idea of the caravanstore however the roof drops before the front door and I have heard they damage the side of the van when they rub in transit. We would want sides and an optional front but these look rather cheap and nasty IMHO.

Then there are sun canopys these in principle offer the full cover and quick setup, however I can't find anything on hydrostatic measurements if it rains.

Finally it's full awnings, would prefer air awnings as generally will be me on my own putting it up.

Finally it will probably only get used once a year. The canopy might get more use.

Any recommendations?

We`ve got an Outdoor Revolution Oxygen Speed 2 awning and it`s great.

It`s up in around 5-10 minutes and is a one man job. Both of the front 'doors' open to give a nice open area.

It`s not a full awning (4m X 2.8m from memory) but in operation it`s plenty big enough.

Thanks!! That's been one I looked at but wasn't sure if the doors on the front were actually doors. Will order one tomorrow for Saturday delivery.

Thanks.

yes The doors roll back and are secured against the centre pole.

It`s plenty water resistant too, last weekend`s downpours in the new forest gave it a good test!

Enjoy your trip.
