47kg Propane bottles.. What to do with them?
Discussion
We've recently completed on a house, the previous occupier was 90 and ran the house on propane bottles. [Mains gas is FAR too dangerous!]
It was on a 2 on 2 off system, so 4x47kg bottles. I've ripped everything out ready for mains gas to be connected at the end of the month. 2 of the bottles are half full, 2 are completely full.
I've rang around and found the supplier, who said they were on a 'no deposit' system. They'd come and collect, but wouldn't give any sort of rebate. Looking at online prices, there's probably £150 of gas there. Seems crazy to let them come and pick it up.. So what else can I use it for? BBQ? Patio heater? With the size of them I'm left stuck for ideas!

......£60-70 for a full cylinder.
FloGas, via Woldlink will deliver a full cylinder (no deposit) for £54.95 http://www.woldlink.co.uk/47kg-propane-gas/ As you can't tell without weighing them as to how full they are, any prospective buyer would want a much lower price, say £30-40 at a guess.S6PNJ said:

Just an idea, but if you can store them discretely and buy a long hose + regulator, and then whenever the BBQ or patio heater comes out, just unreel the hose & connect it up on the patio?
I have a 15kg tank for the BBQ & I am sorely tempted to do something like that as the damn thing is pretty heavy to lug in & out the shed whenever we want to use the BBQ.
