I know nothing about tents or festivals, but I'm camping at one in August!

My dad offered me a nice looking tent but the rules state 4 m² and his is definitely bigger than that.

It needs to sleep 2 people for 3 nights. Naturally I'd like to spend as little money as possible. It's in Germany so expecting it to be dry and hot but who knows.

Any advice or suggestions?

You can't beat Decathlon for reasonably priced pop-up tents:

You should think about getting something to lie on too. Even on a warm summers day, the ground can suck the body heat right out you come the hours of darkness unless you are on a camp bed or an airbed with some form of insulation under on on top of that.

I slept on the ground once (literally) in a tent at a French Car Show event years ago and I was frozen all night and ill for days afterwards. When we camp at Goodwood I've got a basic camp bed I use, canvas, 3 piece pole up each side, "legs" that hold the canvas tight and the whole thing off the ground. The only bit that has ever been cold is my head popping out the sleeping bag when the weather wasn't great.

I've got an airbed and the stuff to go with that - hoping it will be okay.

I'll have a look at that range thank you.
