Fascias, soffits and guttering
Discussion
Been quoted £2496 for 3 sides of the house with new Soffits, Fascia's and guttering with the front of the kitchen also re done with uPVC and guttering.
We've gone with this, as while not the cheapest, it wasn't the most expensive either. Lead time of about 3 to 4 weeks, which is fine with me, means the guy is busy (hopefully).

You seem to hear of people getting it done very cheap, and the job taking one guy 5 minutes, but we had ours - small detached house with gables at each end - done about 15 years ago and that was £2,200. Three guys and a lad did it and scaffolded a side at time - using a sort of glorifed tower so it didn't take long to move - and it took them 4 days.
One thing I would do differently is I wouldn't have white gutters!
They were also supposed to fit felt support trays but didn't as the fitters said they didn't work with the design of our roof. Yet when we recently had water coming in to the top of one of the windows I took a few tiles off and had no problems fitting a felt support tray I got from Screwfix.

One of the quotes we received was to just board over the existing wood. It would have been around £1k to do, but no way. It is getting done properly.
We have been told that it should take around a week to do, which seems about right. I believe they will use a mixture of scaffolding and ladders as we are close to our neighbours on the gable end so they might not be able to get scaffolding in there.
I am hopeful that they will do a good job.

We had a number of quotes, the cheapest (£900 if you sign up now, we can start this afternoon ) proposed to do just that, although it took a lot of questioning to get that out of him.We eventually got the firm that did our windows in and they charged £2200 but did it properly.
Next door went with the cheap guy (he went round all the neighbours after coming here - "I was in the area on another job which finished early and...."), 3 years alter one of their facia boards fell off as it was nailed into rotten wood.

We need a window doing as well so we are going to get this company to do it as well I think as window are another job they take on.
Paid about £1500 for mine to have it all taken down, replaced etc and I kept the old gutters (weighted them in myself to get money back as they where Iron)
Nothing but misery. 7 times the company have been back to "fix" the gutters splitting and then down spouts blocking as they put screws through the spouts. holes in the exteriour bricks from old down spouts not filled in, nails all over the garden. Oh and its like a W along the house it doesnt flow.
They also tried to take the money twice!
They did 4 houses in my road in a week seems mine was the last and CBA
I gave up in the end got another company to come sort it and they finished the work off and filled the gaps they left etc.

I've been thinking about the same work on our house. My online research suggests a price of £70 l/m for soffit facia overboarding. Plastic guttering and downpipe is relatively cheap add £2/300.
