A small gathering of Pistonheaders are meeting tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm for a beer or several at the White Lion, Crays Pond.

Crays Pond is near Woodcote, just off the A4074, 5 miles north west of Reading. The pub is at the cross roads of the roads running to Goring, Pangbourne, Woodcote and back to the A4074. And is not to be confused with The Red Lion or the Black Lion also in the vicinity.

Map is here: www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=europe&X=464000&Y=181000&scale=25000&width=700&height=400&gride=463777&gridn=180620&coordsys=gb&db=ap&overviewmap=&scale=25000&out.x=11&out.y=20

The more the merrier!

Mmmmmm GPS - had a play with a pal's GARMIN unit the other day. The very day that I got lost walking the dog in nearby woods. Only a few hundred quid. How can I survive in this cruel world without one? And it's Xmas soon.

Regards
Ed

You can get one with inbuilt routing that you can use as a handheld or mount in any vehicle:

www.adventureshop.co.uk/garmin/gps_v.htm

I have been using it for a couple of months and it is pretty handy I must admit. You can get a suction mount so you can move it between cars. You get a street level map of Western Europe with it.

That's the very fellow - V Deluxe. He was going on and on about upgrading to a Garmin Street Pilot or something, colour, voice etc etc. How much do you need ?

So Ed, GPS aside, you're coming along?

Hmmm....Ruby has just heard there is a gathering of similar powered vehicles this evening, somewhere in the country, down some groovy lanes. I have the feeling that my idea of staying home in peace this evening is rapidly going out the window...

Maybe see you there !

Sorry for the late notice to those who would have liked to have come but couldn't - we'll try and give a bit more notice next time.

We had a Lotus Elise 111, 2 Griff 500's, a (temporarily de-catted)Chimaera 500, V8S, a Cerbera 4.5 and another Griff 500 (mine) there in spirit but physically still at TVR Power.

Nice to see you all!
