Well, that's what I seem to have anyway as I've just removed these from the garden. The ones below weren't growing in the grass part of the lawn area although there are plenty of smaller brown mushrooms in the grass.
We moved into the house a few months ago and the garden in general was in a poor state and clearly hadn't had any upkeep. There is now some healthier looking grass, albeit on uneven ground. There seems to be an usually high number of what appear to be sub-surface stubs from long removed shrubs
I appreciate the warm and wet weather we've had (I live in the SE of England) may have made things worse but has anyone got any ideas what could be causing the mushroom growth and the best way to combat?
