Evening smile

I've just removed an old fireplace and hearth from my 60s build with concrete floors, under the carpet and underlay are some 9"x9" black plastic tiles and I'd like some more!

They are 3mm thick so there's a small but noticible 'step' without them.

Googling hasn't helped so I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas or substitues that I could use?

Thanks,

MoM

Should be Bakelite, and the adhesive will probably have Asbestos content.

Ring Co Op, book funeral.

As if that weren't bad enough there's often asbestos in the bakelite as well (it was a good filler, helped with strength and was cheap)
