Hi,

I need a replacement booster pump for my kitchen tap. The one that's there is a Grundfos and the flow switch keeps sticking so it doesn't turn off. It's a total ballache to get the thing out and back in, so I'm really not keen on any "maybe" fixes. Do I have any better options than a like for like replacement?

Thanks

I have a salamander CT85 pump that i bought by accident. I needed a negative head rather than positive head. RRP £115 can have it for £80 posted.

Is it a Grundfos UPA 15/90 by any chance? I had one of these fitted and had the same problem with it. I used to take the flow switch out and clean it up, and replaced the switch altogether a couple of times, however the only way I solved the problem finally was to put the pump in the bin and fit a kitchen tap suitable for low water pressure.

It might be worth calling Grundfos and speaking to the spares department. Although the flow switch isn't an official replacement part the guy in the stores there was stripping them out of returned pumps and keeping them as spares due to the number of complaints. He was happy to post me one out for free - although this was a few years ago now so stocks may be gone.

Thanks - but that won't work under the kitchen sink. Plus, not read good things about Salamander pumps

It is exactly one of those. Mine has been ok for around 10 years, so I think I'll try my luck with another one. I made a few phone calls today, and it does look like it's the only game in town
