Seen a rathier nice 430 Scuderia, with most of all the options I want except the LED steering wheel, the one it has kind of looks cheap to be honest but I can't decide if this should put me off it or not. So how big a thing is not having the LED steering wheel in the scud

100% must have IMO. To see that wheel light up like a Christmas tree when all hell is letting loose is one of motoring greatest pleasures biggrin

Come resale you'll definitely get marked down on it as well.

Sacrilege not to spec the LED wheel on a Scud! Definitely does affect the resale or great to haggle down the price today!

What's the overall spec of the car (or a link please) that you've seen? I've noticed a Black one at GC motors with a plain wheel.

Never you mind

It's that very car.

IMO the LED steering is only a gimmick...who needs it to know when to up/down shift?

Even on track with the helmet on, you can hear the engine screaming...and in any case you should be looking ahead at your turning point more than anything

but it does look cool indeed

Gimmicky it might be but I am a simple man, just ask the wife and flashy led steering wheel appeals to my inner child. Other than missing leds I do really like this car. It has harnesses!!!! How cool is that smile

I find it ok overall, but also quite annoying because the lights also light up in 6th gear - which is rather annoying - esp in the dark. So in retrospect not that important to me and not a must have item (but most buyers will want it I suspect)

Reason I ask is that I have been keeping my eye on that car with GC motors as I plan to put my Scud up for SOR with the supplying Ferrari dealer in early spring and this GC motors car is the exact same spec as mine (black, stripe, yellow calipers, yellow stitching, harnesses etc), plus it has the LED wheel and audio system (pointless with the noise the engine makes though).

If you are serious about this spec you are welcome to PM me for more info on mine.

Similar kind of mileage? Don't want to pay the premium for a garage queen as I would like to use it, often.

13,800 miles. Still got 4/5 months left on the ferrari power train warranty (bought as approved used).

I think most buyers thinks it’s important. I did and it’s what the reviews all say. A nice bit of drama! As others have said, in the real world it makes no difference and at night is a hindrance, but it’s something that impacts price and moreover saleability.

Check out Ferrarichat.
LED steering wheels can be retrofitted.

I have led wheel on my 458 and I really can’t see why it’s a must have. I don’t think it adds anything. However, for resale it is vital, so I made sure I bought one with them. They can be retro fit but are thousands. As for nighttime issues; you can turn them off, so not a problem.

Did you mean “you can turn them off”? I will need to look into this, that would be helpful sometimes . maybe I should have at least taken a cursory glance at the manual once...

I didn’t ever know I could switch the lights off on my scud! There again, I didn’t ever really look at the manual other than for pressures and fluids.
