Any ideas why this would be a silly idea (aside from the Bleed Valve comment being a bit worrying)?

Not meaning to be mean....
225 with just an air cone?...bit optimistic imo.
Bleed valve=little knowledge of engine/turbo systems,imo.

The early MR2 turbos (Rev1+2) ran 220bhp as standard, so I don't see what's so optimistic about 225bhp. Bleed valve is a little worrying, unless he's got some other monitoring equipment in there. Makes you wonder why if he's only got it set to 225bhp that he feels the need for a bleed valve.

I might be being dumb here, bt whats so bad about a "Bleed Valve"?

I presume a bleed valve is some sort of manual boost adjustment?

How is it different to a Grainger Valve?

And why is an EBC better?

I don't like bleed valves either. A cheap way of raising boost to be sure, but liable to boost spike. Not a good thing.

Daily run about whilst I build my Noble (have a space frame and engine block so far ). Just want something fun and preferably fairly nippy. The "rear boot" on the MR2 is also pretty spot on for transporting IC's and various other kit to whatever car I'm working on that day.

Will mod it until it drops below 24MPG on a 90MPH cruise then wind it back a bit

Just had a bit of a stock take:

I've got various K&N's, an old S-AFC a newer but more scruffy AVC-R, a very long punch for de-catting and I'm sure I can bosch together an IC.

Should be able to pull a bit more power out with that lot.

Did you rate the Bilsteins Gaz? Understand they had softer billys as standard?

Stock suspension on an MR2T is very crashy as Gaz'a says, good for the track though

I have kept the standard Bilstien struts but swapped the springs out for some Eibach's - makes a big diffrence

As for the "crashiness" well yeah they can be a bit harsh but it's all part of the fun

The "Soop's" looking very nice too though 'Gazboy', thats the route I plan to go down in a year or so once I've stopped adding bits to mine and saved up enough for the jump!

How does the ol Supra compare to your MR2 I'd be very intreasted to know your thoughts
