Wooden front door - recommendations

New oak porch will go on soon so will need a door to match. Wooden seemingly oak is the way forward/best match, any suggestions of companies who could supply?

Oak was not recommended for external doors when I was looking last year. One of the mahogany options is best, more durable.

Can you let me know the logic, if anything other than durability?

Inevitably appreciate that oak shrinks and can warp etc, though hopefully it's if not properly dried etc in the main.

i bough internal doors from a place called "period projects" in southampton .

they door front doors too, well worth a look.

Oak is absolutely fine for a front as the many thousands that are tens/hundreds of years old will testify
