As mad as it sounds; I’m considering setting up a mobile recording studio in a small motorhome or a day camper van. I work from my home studio a lot and fancy getting out into the mountains / to the beach, to work.

With that in mind; how would I power a laptop, an interface with mic preamp and possibly, two monitor speakers... for a full day or more?

I’ve been looking at the Goal Zero Yeti things... which one would I need to get decent power for a full day? Are they the best option?

It will depend on how much power those devices need. You might get away with a leisure battery, solar panel and inverter.

You can take a kettle & make yourself a cuppa when you fancy it.

Those goal zeros look like a great idea but seem terrible value. £150 for 14ah.

I'd be looking for the 12v chargers for your kit, rather than an inverter. Much more efficient and likely less expensive. Then you can run the whole lot off one or more 12v leisure batteries that a camper would already have anyway.
