Went up to the VSCC Spring Meet at Silverstone at the weekend and got a bit snap happy..... First time I've really shot in RAW so when I've figured out how PS works ( manuals on order ) will have a proper play.

In the meantime, a few snippets....

Would appreciate any comments, some others can be found here,

I love this one :-

and this one :-

I can't say I like the stock closeup-of-badge photos. Don't get me wrong, your ones are good, but everyone seems to think that they're the shot to make and I think A) they're really boring and B) easy to take C) tell me nothing.

The above two shots though really give me a feeling of what's going on. With the second one you get the sense the thing is a death trap, which it probably is. Perfect shot!

Thanks Phil, point taken on the badge shots, spent a lot of time just playing with different settings on the camera on Saturday.

As for 'Thunderbug', it is a legend ! 4.2l 2 stroke, sounded like it was firing about every 100 metres going up the pit straight!!! Just great to see all these old racers being used as they were meant. Big hats off to all the owners.

That Thunderbug is ace!, also they all seem to be washed in a warm glow, especially no.1. Was that the light or a filter?, either way i like it.

No filter, straight off the camera. Was pretty overcast most of the day although the sun was trying to break through in the morning.
