Got my 20D today

and going to Copenhagen for the weekend. Have set it up for Large Fine JPEG files. As I am unlikely to do any post processing at this stage, is there any advantage at shooting in RAW as well/instead?
Also, any other settings I should look at adjusting?
By the way, thanks to everyone for the advice recieved to date. It's been invaluable for a digital novice.
Cheers,
Martin

Technically yes, but you will have to process RAW files with extra software (unless you have PS CS). So if you're trying to avoid processing, I'd avoid RAW for now. You have enough to worry about

If you haven't tried aperture vs shutter priority, now is a good time to understand what they do and the difference they can make to a shot. Also, read and understand as much of the manual as you can. You won't need all the features but as you have a very complex, high-quality camera you may as well find out what it can do!

SLR type settings I'm used to using
Excellent, that's most of the battle then, at least as far as photography goes. My biggest surprise going from SLR to DSLR was how much they can under-expose by. There are reasons for this I won't bore you with but - it's worth experimenting with the histogram display, +/- EV and autobracket if you have it. The better you get it in camera, the less file-mangling you have to do later.
