I bought one.Cayman GTS. I only found out as it was on an Autotrader YouTube review of a GTS. Spotted the number plate was the car I was in the process of buying. Quite reassuring in a way.
Apparently almost all the Porsche press cars will have the reg prefix RJ. Registered at Reading.
I reckon on reflection my last Cayman must have been a press Car as well.
Who else would have specified £25K of options on top of a list price of £49K?

I had similar with a Nissan 350z GT Roadster I used to own. The car was very highly spec`d. I checked its history and found that its first owner had a private number plate on it, then googling that plate revealed Nissan used the same plate on all their press cars. I even found a magazine article in which a journo was testing my car around a race track. There was some great press photos. Car drove perfectly and I had no problems in my ownership, just gave it an interesting history.
