991.1 GTS values

Hi all

I regularly browse this section to appease my Porsche desire.

Where do people see 991.1 GTS PDK values in the next 6-12 months coming into the winter and the 992 on the horizon?
Within the Porsche network they seem to be around £82-88k, maybe a little softer than last year when I saw them around £90k.
My thoughts are there’s still some scope for depreciation, but being the last general production NA non GT 911 will keep the prices stronger? Modern shape and refinement, but a more classic NA engine?

I appreciate we can only predict so much, but I’m not a previous Porsche owner or expert.

As for why I’m asking, it’s because as I’m in a position that I can look for weekend / summer car for next year, with a view to buying this winter. But I am certainly not basing my purchase plans on depreciation, but it’s more of an interest to me. I guess to a degree it’s about using my capital at the right time.

My intention is to find something I really enjoy and which fulfil my criteria. I’m considering a few other things (V12 Vantage, GT4 etc...) but I really am keen on the 991. A manual would be good, but I think I’d be lucky to find one.

Prices will go down. You buy £88K from a dealer and the time you trade or sell will obviously be less.

I have a 991.1 GTS and I love it. Stay away from buying a car based on depreciation. Every car drops. Buy fro the driving experience you want.

Manual 991.1 GTS are rare cars...I think 10% of production but like the 997 GTS the manual cars seem to stay with their owners for longer than PDK's.

I am not sure that GTS is going to enjoy the strong residuals it has done vs other models in the range. GTS has almost become the volume model for 991 now...certainly dealers had a lot more 991.2 GTS's for sale than than Carrera or Carrera S in the last year.

Ref other replies, I am aware a 991.1 GTS would still be a depreciating asset, I’m more interested to see where people feel this might bottom out with the next generation on the horizon.

No car purchase can be without thought on its values, unless your money means little to you or you have that much disposable income that it’s irrelevant. Example being A new McLaren 570S, which would be nice, but £40-50k depreciation in a year would put off most who value their income.
