Replacement tyre recommendation 996 C4

Just after a few recommendations for full set of tyres on '99 C4 on 17'' wheels. Currently on Conti Sport 2 which are coming to the end of use. The car is only summer 'dry' use, not tracked or driven to limits.Not after bottom end budget tyre, just feel it may be a waste of money going with Michelin, Pirreli etc if anyone has any decent cheaper alternative recommendations.
