Out of interest, what would you buy?
If I did not own what I do atm prob a 997.2 GT3 for a ton. Or wait for some winter bargains. Esp if you want a cab.
As a daily I think a PDK 991.2 GTS has it nailed.
991.1 feel a bit no mans land to me, old tech in the tech race but too new to feel old style.
Cannot say I would touch any 991.1 model car.
But that’s just my personal view.

I love the 991.2, but Turbo S prices are to high me.
Hopefully winter brings some choices for me!!
My advice would be go test drive both, can’t comment on the turbo as have never driven one but had 991.1 gt3 for 31/2 years and found it to be a brilliant car, never missed a beat in 13k miles I had done in it, only car I would have changed it for would have been the 991.2 GT3 RS which I have been lucky enough to have secured. If Porsche are giving extra warranty on the 991 GT3 engine then I would say find a good one and go for it.
What’s the intended use OP...they’re very different cars especially going for the Turbo Cab.
If the Turbo S cab is loooking favourite I’d look at the 991.2 GTS Cab or Coupe as per 911R’s advice. I’ve not seen a bad word written on here about the .2 GTS...no wailing about it being Turbo just loads of positivity. Especially if you find one with the RWS you might find it a worthy alternative.

Worth looking at a non s gen 2 turbo too if youre not bothered about CL and PCCB.
Thanks, i will bear this in mind also. I am ready to go now but will definitely wait until the depths of winter and see what cars are about then. Thanks.

Having had 991.1 GT3/RS and 911.2 GTS's I really think the N/A engines are to be treasured. You cannot use these cars for the speed alone these days (cameras, vans, plod) so its about the theatre and noise at low speeds and the down shifts...the excitement of going through tunnels etc.
911.1 and olders together with GT cars just make you laugh out loud with the notes from the engine and this captures your heart more over time. GT4 and the Spyder and 981's again are amazing in this aspect too.
My GTS's 911.2 are super quick but just miss the noise and thats the dna of what these cars are meant to be.
Its also like now watching Formula 1 now and 10 years ago on youtube. Just not the same at all....
Test drive a GT3.1 and report back.
