Hi All

I bought my fiurst SLR camera today and I am very happy apart from the 1 or 2 blobs/marks that are showing up on a most shots

See this picture

www.thinkinghouse.co.uk/d70.jpg

At the bottom left corner of the top right hand section of the picture.

Have I got an issue with dust?

Cheers

I assume you mean this bit:

Looks like dust to me. On a new camera that's pretty unlucky to get such a bad spot so soon.

Take it into wherever you bought it and see if they can help you out, that's what I would do.

I had the same issue, I bought a dry cleaning kit which worked brilliantly, dslrclean was the name of the product.

Thats the one.

I bought the camera from Costco, so i can just drop back over and get a new camera. Should sort it!

That's only after two months

Lots of owners have noted dust on first delivery of Nikon SLRs - it's a common theme....

You think that's bad! I got the shock of my life after one shoot. Now I clean the chip before every shoot unless I don't change the lens in between. Dust is unavoidable unfortunately. Canon will clean it for you. Not sure about costs and time factor, but you should be able to do an ok job yourself. DO NOT USED COMPRESSED AIR THOUGH!

Yeah, you can't avoid it - i've never changed my lens in the time i've had my d70, and dust still gets in.

See this thread of mine for solutions - www.iphotoforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14453&highlight=
