Maybe a bit different from the norm, but I have a question regarding a 1990 Toyota hilux,2.4 diesel, if anyone can offer any assistance.

Obviously it is an hydraulic clutch(I think?) with a master cylinder and slave cylinder, but wondered if anyone could point me in the way of whether the clutch could need bleeding, or if there is any mechanical adjustment on it.

Basically it drives fine, engages gear OK, and there is plenty of bite in the clutch. It shows no sign of slipping on driving it. However, the pedal itself has not a lot of travel, and seems a bit soft,/ not much reistance/slightly spongy.....

Any ideas.......

Sounds like you have some air trapped in the lines.

Youll need to bleed it out either using a jar with a tube submerged in brake/clutch fluid and pump it out by cracking the bleed nipple or take it in and get it bled...take em about 10 mins if they get a move on.
hth.
