I like the first one, with the second one I'd like to see how it would look if the letter D from Davidson was included.
OK, time for a personal rant: why oh, why do the Americans insist on putting an R or a TM or an SM to identify their logos IN THE LOGO OR TRADE MARK ITSELF ??? Its ugly, it ruins the trade mark and all I end up seeing is those one or two letters instead of the unique and attractive identifying mark.
