Just had my first day of this course and all I can say is that after reading around the subject of studio lighting there is no substitute for putting it all into practice. It is very friendly and relaxed with people that have all sorts of experience. Got some good images (see www.pbase.com/rex911/lighting course). Won't win prizes but can easily get good consistent results for not much outlay.

Will be back there tomorrow for more instruction including how to blow out the background without desaturating the image (which everyone seems to want including me). Will upload more images tommorow of time prevails.
