Telly question

Anyone tuned a portable tv into the race and picked up a good signal without sat equip, or is it a waste of time taking one ?

Talking to someone the other day and he recons I will pick up the race with a fine tune portable,a colour one listed at maplins for around £60.00, more and late night watching at the same time

Erm,...this a (PAL system) TV for the UK.

What are you hoping to pick up in France (SECAM system)?
(not that they show the race on French TV).

We always bought TV's in the Carrefor with a portable ariel, always worked well and as part of a group it was cheap as chips

The ACO got their knickers in a twist when they thought we were running a cafe though when England beat Germany 5 - 1 a few years back..... About 70 of us watching the TV they couldn't believe we were all in the same group.
