So as a Le Mans virgin, what can I be expected to do by all my other party members, in order that I can become a fully fledged Le Mans dude?

Oh and are there loudspeakers telling you who's winning?

radio le mans (FM 91.2) has english comentary so take a small radio and you'll know all that's going on.

my first year i got lost, drunk, dirty and sunburnt (not in that order) and stayed up all night watching the most amaizing race in the world - i'm sure you'll do the same - come to think of it i've done the same in each of the subsequent years as well!

If Hughsie is with one particularly evil bunch of barstewards I know of, you'll have to drink with your left hand or do a forfeit involving even more booze.

Sounds like fun! I can do that! In fact that's how I normally drink at weekends with a water pistol in one hand and a beer in the other!

...No ...Hughsie is actually with us, so he can't be with the "evil bunch of barstewards" you were thinking of!!!

Pah, the left handed mularky is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg!!! Our "virgins" have got plenty of other rules to cope with, plus a nice pre-race game of "nomination" on Sat morning!!!

I was told not to forget my marigolds, but I guess that one only applies to girls.

It is going to be a scorcher this weekend.
So,Watching the race from any grandstand on Sunday morning from 3 am until the sun comes up is a must.
Take a sleeping bag and a bag full of beers and
enjoy

my initiation last year was.... being a passenger in a red v8s running away from the police because the driver (shall remain nameless) decided to do a few wheel spins down arnarge high street. We ended up hiding the car in a barn for the duration of the race!!! all this happened within hours of arriving!!!
