Ok, I love mine as it still manages to frighten me when I push the loud pedal down to the limit, I love the fact that muppets have no idea of the power and think it's just a plain old MR2. I love the fact that nothing major has gone wrong with it. I also love the way that it's nigh on impossible to get a bad start in it off the lights.

Woah Gaz! Don't blow a gasket!

I love my rice rocket because Mazda had the for-sense to put in a bottom end that can withstand over 250hp.

Shame about the gearbox though.....

Relax, some of us have work to do!

I love my car because she does everything much more 'exotic' machinery does. Has huge amounts of soul. Burbles with the best and screams when I give it to her hard (the accelerator that is). My auto-geisha is different to most boinging contemporaries and has curves to die for

My car's capabilities go so far beyond mine it's scary.

I love mine as with its sylvia badge no one can work out what the hell it is and at full throttle it makes small children's ears bleed

The plain interior of mine used to bug me a little. Now I just love it for its simplicity. Who needs a digital display for their climate control when a simple rotary control does it all?

Who needs heated seats when I've got the most supportive seats I've ever experienced - Recaros.

Who needs to stir the gearbox when, even in fifth, 60 becomes 120 about as fast as you can read this sentence? Ordinary 'brisk' cars become dots in your rear-view mirror as they run out of steam at 90-100.

People still crane their neck to stare at it and give me the thumbs up.

I am, of course, refering to kph, not mph!

I like my MR2 T. because it kept up (or there abouts) with a LOT more expensive Euro stuff at the Weekend on the PH Northants Run, and is now drviing smoother than ever after the 3 hour beasting it took

I can't think of another (non Jap)car that offers quite the value for money.... though Im sure there must be a few

sushi sledge
-a new one to me!

Whoa there GB You only gave it a couple of hours mate. Occasionally, just very occasionally have to earn a few optimax tokens

Why do I love my sushi sledge? Well a lot ofthe stuff GB said about mid range urge & bombastic power delivery(thats agood one, must remember) deffinately ring true for me.Even tho the car isn't particularly quick-it feels it.Covers big distances effortlessly with absolutly no fuss.Handling on the twisties is really pretty good too for a big car,its very *massy* & doen't like to let you forget it.
The real killer for me is the noise(be prepared to have me bore the cr*p out of you here chaps),at tickover/low revs it has that deep throaty burble, building thru 4k & sounding menacing,4.5-5k the V.V. & the turbos really getting in on the act slam! O.M.G. angry snorter roar thing has come alive a couple of feet in front of my face.Puts a big grin on it-every time.

I too love the low-rev rumble, the growl as it goes through 3k, and the angry snarl as it comes on cam at 5k and gives you a shove in the back.

I love the way I can kick the tail out around corners without even trying...

I love the way people see the agressive snout coming up behind them and move over (even though it isn't a turbo/GT-R).

I love the way everything just works all the time, even on cold damp mornings.

I love the fact a comparable european car would cost almost twice as much.

I like mine because of the challenges and ambitions it has given me (restoration project). I also like the way it handles - even though a lot still needs to be done.

Poise.

Rally breeding.

Stonking mid range on boost shove.

Real world, real road all weather pace.

She starts every morning.

Flames.

Few people know what it is.

Not that I'd condone cruelty to cats in any way shape or form you understand.

I love my S2K because...

- it revs to 9K
- i smile everytime i hit vtec
- it looks so damn fine
- in the dry it's on rails
- it handles like a dream
- lots of folk don't know what it is
- lots of folk (especially ladies) smile and point at it (not me obviously!)
- it makes me look a lot cooler than i actually am
- the roof comes off
- it keeps up with a lot of the overpriced german roadsters driven by folk who bought the badge and are surprised when this car stays with them/goes past them (on the track obviously)
