As our itchy trigger fingers hover over our digital shutter releases safe in the knowledge that pressing it costs nothing, the temptation to hose off 10x as many shots as we ever did on film is irresitable.

My personal best is about 420, at a wedding - about 1.2Gb. Of those, only about 4 had to be discarded.

What's your record?

Mine's no-where near that - a full 1GB card shooting in RAW saw me get about 190 shots. The real question is how many of those were "keepers"

Over 1300.
Nearly 2 gig at 3MP.
About 200 keepers.
About 50 ok keepers.

Early days with Fuji602 at a trackday, panning highly tricky with LCD screen and lack of ability. 5 shot bursts, most with less than 25% of a car in them, some with nothing at all.

I filled every one of the 5 cards I had on this day:

Did just under 12,000 shots in 8 days on a research trip to Istanbul a few years ago. That was 2x1Gb microdrives per day then double backups to CDR every night (6 or 8 discs).
Walked ~60 miles and it was the middle of summer. Afterwards I couldn't tell if it was my feet or my shutter finger that hurt more.

Last weekend whilst at Rockingham with Bee-Jay with media pass.
Something like 2000 shots between us and 70 worthy of putting on web site.
Was downloading onto epson P2000. Great piece of kit.

I've managed to fill 2.25Gb of storage before now, but the biggest part of that acheivement was being able to look back at them and actually want to keep less than 10 images.

Do you ever look at your photo's too criticaly?
