I have a clunking sound coming from the CV joint or differential area when I rotate the front wheels back and forth. The noise happens only when I change the direction of rotation.

It basically feels like there is play or lash in the CV joint or differential. Is this normal?

Video if the issue below...

Difficult to see on the video.
Put the wheel on full lock and drive. If you hear clicking your CV's are toast.

Hello,

I don't think it's the CV joints as there is no knocking on turning.

it's more that clunking noise you hear in the video, when I have one wheel off the ground and rotate it back and forth. Not sure if there is meant to be some play normally.

Thanks.
