A 911 ( older one, dont know what model this is )

Another older 911, this was liveried up with 2.7RS stickers. Dont know if it was a 2.7RS though. I thought these were done in blue / pink like the GT3RS.

Took 191 photos and ran out of disk space on memory card. I thought 512MB would be ample :S

Will post more when I get them uploaded, it takes ages on a 56k modem.

Cheers

Stuart

Nice pics!

your GT3 was indeed a 996 GT3

The older porkers were both 993's - red one with bad haircut (IMHO)

Ta for the post.

Great pics Stuart, so which photographer were you, I seemed to talk to a lot of them. It was a cracking day for it and plenty of variety and the weather was nice which makes a change for Knockhill. I've posted my pics in a seperate thread to post a warning to dialup users as there are one or two photos

It was a great day ALthough I now have a quite sunburnt face :P

I spent most of the day walking around the track taking photos with my D70. I noticed there were some photographers on the other side of the fence ? Were these Knockhill photographers ? I didnt want to jump over the fence in case I got in trouble.

Do you have any idea why the Porsche and Ferraris werent on track at the same time?

There was a "professional" company there taking pics which they will be trying to sell to the drivers. Thats who was on the other side of the fences.

FYI the 2.7 RS is genuine, but wasn't a standard road version - basically race prepared, possibly originally sold as a cup/challenge car, can't quite remember the story, but it is the real thing - and VERY quick too.

The old Porsche as you put it in Red is a 964 3.8 RS.

Worth more than your house!

1 of only 2 RHD made. 50 total

Brave man taking that round the track.

One for sale in Germany for 150K Euro! LHD of course.

Have you any of my Carrera in Red similar to the above?

Did it have Carrera stickers on the side?

Do you know how the blue porsche crashed ?

I seen it parked up covered in mud with damage to the rear bumper and one of his exhausts ripped off?

Needless to say driver didnt look to happy. Would have peeved me off as well, as he was looking at damage people were taking photos of his damaged P&J...

Cheers

I didn't see the crash, but I did see the skid marks where he went off - from that angle it looked like simple driver error - over-cooked the exit to duffus, wrestled it round the next corner but couldn't bring it back round for the right-hander....makes you think doesn't it

Which blue car? Can we have some more details?

Never saw any incidents but track was closed when I went for petrol.

The real 2.7 looks a lot like Mike Ns 993 engined replica, v. fast v. unoriginal.
Could be wrong and usualy am
