Pixmania et al quote £8 per pot for my Canon i9950. These guys are £3:95 and it's 2 for 1 at the moment.

They're not Canon inks though! I really wouldn't risk 3rd party in my 9950. 7DayShop do oem for £5.95

Wouldn't really like to try 3rd party inks to be honest, can't really guarantee the colour matching and I would spend more of my life profiling...
Intersting that they claim the "MSRP" for a cartridge for the R1800 is £43 !!!! They are only £11 from epson.co.uk !!!!
I have an HP and cartridges are £loads. However I've tried various types of non-OEM lookalikes and refills and all have let me down, well at least the colour ones. Hence I now bite the bullet and buy the proper ones, because I don't need the hassle of, for example, the yellow conking out halfway through every photo. Luckily I only use about 3 sets of cartridges a year.
I always use www.mx2.com - based offshore - very cheap branded inks and paper.
