Good afternoon, I have recently become the owner of an amazing, bright yellow SBC Ultima GTR. I’ve been pottering about in it today and I have to say, coming from a 4.2 Cerbera I am greatly enjoying the way it performs.

I have noticed that the main beam/flash headlight is not working. I’m assuming it’s the press button to the left of the steering wheel? Equal and opposite to the horn button?

Would somebody be kind enough to point me at the correct relay in the passenger access panel? Apart from the horn fuse, everything else seems good. It’s an ‘04 build if that helps?

Also, in the passenger side cubbyhole there are two hoses with some serious looking lock-off taps. What would these be for please?

Thank you, Jules.

Apologies I'm not familiar with the wiring on the GTR but could you post some pics of the plugs you're talking about? Might be able to answer that one. smile

Congrats on the purchase!

Thank you! It’s just the most fantastic car I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

I will get some pictures tomorrow. I can only assume the lock-off valves might be to a heater matrix?

That was my first thought. I mean who needs more heat in an Ultima right? biggrin

The taps you mention are for the heater matrix, they allow or restrict the flow of hot coolant into the cabin heating system.

Many owners insulate these pipes, or block them off entirely (I did the latter) as they can have a heating effect of their own, even when they're in the closed position smile
