Drove with both sets of available coilovers back to back and if you live somewhere with terrible pavement, buy the Nitrons. Holy cow, totally different car over the rough stuff. I haven't fiddled with the adjusters yet but right out the of the box the improvement in the ride quality was substantial.

I also love the design of the Nitrons. Installing the new lift cups was so easy a toddler could do it, the threads didn't require lubrication, I didn't need a spring compressor and it only required one tool for adjustment. Even before I installed them I was already kind of in love with 'em. Watch this (just the first 60 seconds);

Now if only they could find a way to Butch up the colors a bit... biggrin

They are very good units. It’s amazing how something can make such a huge difference to the drive, handling and feedback of a car.

I went from Bilstein to Ohlins on my car and the difference was night and day. Enjoy the new setup, they also look utterly cool. Always a shame to have such wonderfully engineered and manufactured items slung underneath the car I think.

What’s the cost of these. ?

I’m half way through my Rs build but interested in the upgrade.

I don't want to irk anyone at Ultima by posting their prices on the internet. You should send them an email. If you already have the OG coilovers on your car just for fun you might try them out before you put on the Nitrons so you can see the difference. It was a little extra work but highly educational.

Great to know, I am planning to get round to a replacement of my very old shocks and springs. Very handy that nitron are just down the road as well...

Would be interested in know any spec on them - spring rates and valving etc - if you have that info?
