Negative, So you can drive an 81 Countach in the London ULEZ zone without paying as it's 40 years old.
But a Diablo was born after 81 (91) but before 2006 so are in the dugout (to use a baseball term), they are too old to not pay but also not old enough not to pay, and by the time they are it'll be 2031 when the World of the motor vehicle will be a different place altogether.

Positive, Numbers, World Wide I think there's around 2880, so very low numbers.

Negative/positive? Perception/image, a Diablo pukes 575g g/km of CO2, so what is the perception going to be nowadays and in the next few years when you pull up in one? will it give jealous people the excuse they've been dreaming of to insult you based on ecological reasons ? "You don't care about the World you &^%&^ ^&^%&" translated "I hate you, you cool bd". Or will pulling up in a Diablo always be cool?

Negative/positive? Investment, low number and unrepeatable low wide shape. But it's a car, a car you might not be able to drive easily once we approach 2030, so will people still want them to sit permanently motionless on concrete floored living rooms whilst people in black polo necks can look at them at dinner parties?

Negative/positive. Electrification, sure we can EV a Diablo, it'd be just as fast, but it would be like taking the race Horse Arkle to be neutered.

So with all that said, what do we think will happen to the prices? up or down? the "they're only going one way" statements are uttered because they sound good, not because they make sense, they did when they were only going one way :-) but now what 'way' is that?

ULEZ is £12.50. Even if you drive into the zone every month its not the end of the world, don't see the issue? But why would you, inside the north / south circular its all 20mph, speed bumps & width restrictors. Absolutely no reason to take an old or indeed any supercar in there.

Most owners probably only do 1,000 kms a year and as the C02 is per KM its very low overall.

2030 is in 9 years, That's 9 years of fun before anything happens, and nothing will happen because there are things that have yet to be invented that we cant even foresee that may change car ownership and all aspects of life,

Just drive it even if its worthless or legislated out of existence in 9 years so what, 9 years is a very long portion of your life to endure without any joy for the fear of losing a few quid.

No one knows what will happen to prices, if they did they would be burned at the stake or the richest fund manager ever, assume cars will depreciate 50% every three years as they have always done and use that as a basis.

I drive it almost everyday, so the question was general. One of the main aspects of supercars especially classics has been their investment potential, this post is about that, the impact of the world climate control changes on the investment potential.
I phoned about another Diablo to a dealer a few days ago and got the 'they're only going one way' answer, thus triggering my post, as I'm not convinced of that argument.
Personally I hope the last time I drive my Diablo is when petrol has been outlawed and I am being pursued by the petrol police.
Sure lot's of people on here don't care about the investment topic, but some people do.

I just tend to ignore all that nonsense and drive the wheels off mine whenever I can, rain or shine. It goes to the shops, supermarket, kids go out in it and my wife uses it. Couldn't careless about mileage being added to it. To me its the enjoyment, the rush. the thrill of a blat round some Surrey Hill's roads with some good mates in a car that will never be made again but has left and continues to leave a lasting impression on people.
