aka bell end ,Whinger Spice, nob, jolly good chap or what ever, has been quoted as saying F1 fans have short memories and will soon forget the events that took place at Abu Dhabi, I do not know if someone has requoted this recently in the media or that he has reiterated his statement with the usual casual wave of his hand.

Now I don`t know about you, be you a Max fan ,Lewis fan, don`t care fan or a casual observer, CH must be smoking some funny stuff if he thinks anyone will forget anytime soon unless they have been lobotomized .

He will not forget

The media will not forget

His team will not forget

Or any driver on the grid

Any F1 fan will not forget

Max will certainly not forget............I COULD GO ON

I will not forget, I will also not forget that he spouted such a steaming pile of crap, he obviously believes we are all morons (hopes most likely)

The sad thing is, he's probably right.

F1 nerds won't forget. But the more casual observer and non-observer have probably forgotten already.

Example in point - I don't recall too many people bringing up Schumacher's indiscretions when he was winning title after title at Ferrari.

I think some people were at the time but as social media wasn't a thing at the time it wasn't reported as widely.

Attention spans are shorter now. Forgotten by the second race of 2022.

That it’ll be forgotten is probably the only sensible thing Horner has said in maybe the last three years, because it seems so sensible I predict Marko will immediately disagree before realising he’s said the wrong thing!

I haven't forgotten Senna taking Prost out either......

Or Mansell puking in his helmet in Indycar....

Well, I'm not a fan of football but those I know who are still go on about the whole Maradona handball thing in - when was that... 1986? I'm sure we will learn to live with it but forget. Not so sure.

Some people in Germany have not even forgotten what happened during the WC final in 1966, but the majority does not care/remember what happened. Life goes on and there are more important things to worry about.

Hmmm, this was more than a mere handball, besides nobody suggesting Max or Horner had a hand in it, a much deeper problem

CH wants it to go away is all, it won`t

Thanks for that, but you do know we are not thinking about it constantly. Perhaps not...

It seems like a fair number of casual observers did not even realise that there were unprecedented events enacted by Masi that completely u-turned the 1-2 into a 2-1 finish.

I cannot remember who was in 7th on the 32nd lap, but anyone with an interest - and a brain - will occasionally have cause to recall the event though.

How can a non-observer remember anything ? Plenty remembered Schumacher`s antics, that`s why he is not regarded by many as the greatest, just the sneakiest .

By non-observer, I mean Abu Dhabi 2021 was their first race.

F1 nerds remember Schumacher's antics. Nobody else does. To them, he's the rather stern German who won a lot of titles driving a red car.

I sometimes wonder who all these "casual F1 observers" are.

Bit of an over-reaction?

Sounds all a bit “Lest we forget” for a bit of Sunday racing.
