Had a 2001 Bug WRX wagon a few years back which I loved however it was starting to get crusty 7 years ago.

Have a baby now and would like to find more about the later (hawk and newer) EJ20 models as they have things like xenons and possibly isofix and JDM stuff should be less rusty!

What are the JDM models called?

Any good importers to look up?

Torque GT and Harlow Jap Autos are both generally well regarded. Hurst Cars in Bedford is generally where I go to fantasize about spending a lottery win.
The Jdm newage machines are really good, in every way apart from rust proofing, so put aside £600 for a good treatment.

better off buying what’s recently landed than importing , then you know much better what you are getting , some importers state what you pick is yours even if it’s got issues , the torque gt , harlow jap autos , hurst is quite expensive , dcy europe , some jdm auction houses are in the mountains so can be as rusty as uk cars , due to the climate they are in , importing can be expensive as like every thing else it’s gone up in price

Cheers for the replies, that’s great with the isofix being 2002 onwards, BMW had it as a paid option still at that stage so I couldn’t find it in many E39s.

Quite liking the hatches now with the 2.0, the Hawkeye models with it seem crazy money

i would look at an sti , condition being very important , that’s the benefit of a fairly fresh import as often it’s like a new car due to the better climate they come from

Big delays with shipping currently. People are buying now for delivery mid to late summer next year.
