Our 2018 Clio is asking for a service, the chap on the service desk at the local Renault dealer mentioned that Renault recommend the spark plugs at it's age\mileage (it's 4 years old and currently just over 24.5k miles), what are peoples thoughts, does this sound right?

More or less right. I just did the plugs myself on my Megane after 36K miles which is spot on. best to get them change if they break (lot of heat in the engine bay they become brittle over time) its an engine out job to rectify

Thanks for the reply, toying with doing it myself, I have done filters before but I haven't done plugs, although looking on YouTube it looks very straightforward.

Take your time & just make sure you have the right tools beforehand (long reach magnetic thin socket is a must!). Also buy the workshop manual online that will contain the NM settings you need for torque (you need a decent torque bar!).

These tools are a good investment as you can reuse on future vehicles & cheaper than paying a garage to do the job plus if you thread it you only have yourself to blame...a garage will never tell you they did that!
