The Ebay auction ended 8 days ago with NO BIDS, and he hasn't re-listed it yet, so it would be worth sending an enquiry via Ebay message to the seller. His other items clearly show that he is a car trader, so may be willing to take a lower offer to get rid ....

just recognized now: its a very early car.

Stewart Warner Gauges, Deep Dished Steering Wheel, 2 fuel filler caps...shoundt the car sit on the disc-type Teledyne Wheels? and shouldnt this early car have a black-wiring loom with fuse/relais board inside enginebay?

I like the glove box full of cassettes tapes. It really looks like that this car gas been forgotten.

Those tapes will now all be the same. As Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman noted in "Good Omens", all tapes left in a car for more than a fortnight metamorphose into Best of Queen albums.

I don’t think it’s a forgotten barn car at all. It was taxed until earlier this year. Why would you tax a forgotten barn car?

Probably a you can buy one that works for less than it will cost to fix

It isn't that early, series 2 body shell, bonnet & skirts. The handbrake handle is the later long version too but dash and steering wheel are the early S1 type. Series 1.5 I guess I would call it.

But not MoTd since 2009, so it can't have been legally driven for 14 years - and the visible condition shows it would be undriveable. Presumably he taxed it last year for some other reason - perhaps if he was considering selling the registration number separately. An online reg number advice page says this :
"Older vehicles:
If your vehicle has been unused for a number of years, you may not be able to sell the registration number. To remove a registration number from a vehicle, it must meet the following:
- Registered with the DVLA (many older vehicles may not be)
- Have been taxed within the past 5 years, and be declared SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification)
- Available for inspection "

It doesn't need tax or MOT as it is over 40 years old. It was 1st registered in August 1981.

It hasn't had a private plate removed, because it it had, then a new V5 would have been issued. The last V5 was issued in 2011.

It also needs a valid MoT certificate to remove a registration number. From DVLA page:

"If you have a historic (classic) vehicle you’ll also need a current MOT certificate, even if your vehicle is usually exempt from MOTs."

This presumably to stop plates being retained from a box of bits, or just the V5c.

But no plate has been removed from the car as I said. And you don't need a MOT for a car that is MOT exempt.

I presume you mean Telcast, from the foundry of that name in Telford. They became Two Gates Wheels and were one of my customers in the 1990s. When I enquired about the Tasmin's disc-style wheels I was told they only supplied about 100 sets, and long before I asked, the casting dies had been sent for scrap.

I think the silver car in the ad above has been on Ebay more recently, possibly even this year - in the same state, so probably the same seller.
