Hi all,

I'm looking for the wedges’ main earth points, specifically for a 1981 +2. Virtually my entire electrical system has a deteriorating ground. I suspect there must be a point to which all the (black wink ) wires lead to

Points I know about:
- Ground strap from battery to engine
- Ground strap from transmission to frame
- Ground in front right engine compartment (where a small wire goes - probably relay ground).

But where is the connection from the wiring harness to the frame/chassis?

Greetings from Germany!

In my 390 the wiring loom earths were under the dash to the right on the steering wheel. Loosen off the bolt and give them a good clean. Also consider attaching a further lead and run it to a good earth ie battery. It helps.

Hi rover, thanks for the idea. I had that thught as well but haven‘t found a ground to the chassis frame at the right hand side. I see the entire loom disappearing to the inner arch

I have a feeling there was a stud welded to the left front suspension tower that had a cluster of earths on it - I think it's hidden by the airbox so easy to miss.
