Happy new car day to me! Say hello to my sensible new project car:
It’s a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S, 521bhp with a mere 160k on the clock. It also smells of dog.
This is my first Porsche as well, it’s had two previous owners and has a decent service history (propshafts, coolant pipes etc replaced). I was originally supposed to get a different Cayenne but that fell through due to it needing more work than expected.
So far on the 3 hour journey back the car felt pretty good, it needs new tyres (being fitted today), a good clean and I want to give it an oil service next week.
I’ve got some fun things planned with the car, assuming it doesn’t explode.

You still keeping the LC500?
The scrunge I found in the Cryanne was a sight to behold. Spent a good few hours on it last night, the car dog smell has gone for now.
It’s driving much better now that it has actual tyres, though one wheel has a weld on it and another has a very small flat spot. Will keep an eye on those, but if this turns into a long term I may need to replace them.
I’ll be doing a small service on the car next week (oil & filters), and having a general poke around the engine bay.
