Errr, on the front.. ;-)

If you haven’t got the original bracket then these guys do a bolt on option..

I used the brackets that came with the car. (If you don’t have them you can get them from the dealer). I used two screws and some VHB tape. The self tapping screw goes on the underside of the bonnet so you never see the holes. I think you can probably just mount the bracket with the VHB tape but I wanted to be extra sure as I take the autobahns on Eurotrips. It’s pretty discrete (relatively). You can see in the second and third pics it sits recessed from the bonnet

These guys have the best solution. The best bit is, you can simply remove the front plate in 2 secs via the spring-loaded locking mechanism if you feel like going without front plate for a while, for whatever reason (photoshoot, track day, etc). Plus having the plate sit low on the front splitter looks better on the Huracan than having it sat just under the bonnet, IMHO. Thumbs up to Italian Supercar Solutions, even if the kit is expensive at £400.

Local place to me made me a small aluminium matt-black powder coated copy of the expensive ones . Cost me a grand total of about £20.00 if I remember correctly.

I got stopped last weekend by the police who approached me coming the other way and then turned around and stopped me with blues and twos !! Insisted I had no number plate until walking to the front of the car found one in all its glory ! He did apologise a number of times but it did attract a lot of the locals !! I must admit I didnt realise it comes with a 3 point penalty as well as £100 fine. Good job I didn't listen to the dealer who reckons we would get away without the plate! In his defence it wasnt "vertical" !!!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't - unless he was going to somehow book you for something other than not displaying a front plate, I don't think he told you the truth.

He said "you rich supercar types just laugh at a £100 fine thus the 3 points are in place". He seemed pretty certain about that - but as you say he could be talking sxxx !

Agree totally. The car comes with a numberplate and a fixing system so why not use it?
My only change is to use a smaller plate which blends in better but I've had to widen it slightly to fit the UK sticker for European driving

Could be wrong but I don’t think you need a UK sticker on the front plate, just the rear one (or of course a separate UK sticker on the back of the car).

Do you know what? I've just checked and I believe you're absolutely correct - thank you.
I will remove it later in the week when I pick it up from Autofficina after a service and MOT.
Hurrah biggrin

You would think the police would be more focused on tackling serious crime rather than criminalising the motorist. Is it any wonder the public have zero respect for the bizzies.
