I drove one once. About 20 yards. It was an original UK supplied car (LHD of course). The owner took me out for a drive, but it was very tired. I can still remember the knackered suspension knocking with every bump in the road.

Are you referring to the same car or different cars? confused

Links to the auction pages you are referring to would help - For example, this Dino 206 (that you have referenced, based on the price), sold for $868,500: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am23/amelia-isl...

Whereas this Dino 206 sold for $456,000: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo23/monterey/l...

As the pictures show, there is a difference between the condition of the two cars - Hence the different price.

If you post the links to what you're referring to, then we can make a better assessment of what's going on.

If it's the same car, then it's most likely due purely to market conditions at the time/over zealous buyers previously, paying too much.
