N222 Portugal - Any good for supercars?

Afternoon all!

Planning a Spanish/Portugal supercar trip for next year, come across the N222 in Portugal which is supposed to be the ''worlds best driving road''

Quick scan on street view and looks fairly narrow and not that great, more so for bikes or slow paced cars

Looking to do the west half of the road

Any good for supercars or avoid??

sorry late reply, but I drove that road in 2017 on Portugal road trip. I was intrigued by that claim it was world's best drivers road. It's not, in fact it was an anti climax after that expectation was set. Its not a bad drivers road, with good scenery along the Douro river, its relatively short, but its not a top drivers road IMHO. Don't know how it got that title. Ive driven on better roads in Portugal. The area is worth a visit though if you interested in Port wine, as it's one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in Europe.

Either way looks a good stretch of road & planning to do Pinháo to Porto next year as part of a Spain/Portugal tour on my bike (we need a motorbike smilie!!)

I did that road before covid on my motorcycle and as I rode it I thought it would be tight and slow for a car in a lot of places, it wasn’t exactly fast on a bike. The road hugs the contours of the valley sides. Beautiful scenery. Some fabulous roads to experience in Portugal and not much traffic. Think I may still have the gpx files from my trip from Bilbao to the Algarve over 4 days if it helps?

That's a kind offer, thanks. I have a plan to go to Porto via Picos, Leon, Salamanca, Serra de Estrella & Pinhão. Then roughly follow the coast(ish) back to Santander.

If any of your route goes near that lot happy to take any recommendations of good roads. We'll be 2up so trying to stick to about 150miles per day max.
