Morning all. The above warning appeared on my 64k mile L405 when it was started after a period of indoor storage (6months) on a conditioner. The car was perfect when it went in to storage, and I hadn’t seen the fault before. Car is a 2016 EU6 diesel hybrid, a bit of a rare beast, there weren’t that many built or sold in JLR terms. I’ve had it 5 years and enjoyed 35000 miles and it’s been pretty good in general, just a failed drivers door lock deadlock spring, mirror down light, bonnet micro switch and a failed rear coolant pipe. All pennies to repair other than the coolant pipe - that required the rear subframe out for access.

I tied all the usual resets, successfully fully charged the (flat) hybrid battery with the engine, gave it a good run out etc. I couldn’t get rid of the warning. It didn’t affect the cars operation, everything still worked just not the hybrid function, and ‘EV mode’ wasn’t available.

Has anyone that has owned one of these things (or maybe the similar sport version) seen this? I don’t think there is anything wrong with the hybrid battery, it charged as normal, it’s just that the car has decided that the “hybrid system is temporarily unavailable” - the message itself suggests it might not be anything permanent/serious?

It just bothered me as I couldn’t reset it before putting the car back in storage for another 6 months. I’m out of UK for a while, all cars are in storage.

The only other message I couldn’t clear was that the key battery was was low (didn’t have a spare battery on me), though I can’t see that that can be related?

Thanks for any suggestions.
