Been thinking of a new 340D tourer to replace my trusty 335D tourer. I’ve also been keeping a watching brief on M3 tourer, given there are 125 plus on AT now, however, they still seem too expensive second hand with little discount on new ones. Surely supply and demand will Kick in and prices will start tumbling soon?

I think like most cars , wait for a 25 per cent discount . Until then you will only take a large bath in year one .

I’m guessing BMW are selling as many as they had forecast to sell, they aren’t being over-supplied to dealers, there’s still demand so big discounts are still some way off. I couldn’t see 25% discounts until maybe the car is near the end of production and the new M3 has been announced.

But on PCP, which is how the vast majority will be sold, eventually the interest rate will drop and, eventually, in maybe four or five years, it will get to 0%.

This is the standard pricing strategy for M cars and I don’t imagine the Touring will be any different.
