Personal recommendations for removing horse aroma from car, this is even after a full valet. Not sure it's ever had a horse in it, just a very horsey owner.
Bombs next?

A couple of options:

(1) Ozone generator
(2) Upholstery wet vac - use this in conjunction with carpet shampoo and a product such as Autosmart BioBrisk which contains enzymes that continue to work after the area has dried. I have a Bissell Spot Vac Pet Thingy and the Vax ones are similar.
(3) Some people advocate use of bowls of vinegar, cat litter etc.

Don't bother with light household stuff such as Febreze or air fresheners which only mask the problem. Autoglym have an Odour Eliminator which has a purple label that is OK. In the absence of wet vaccing, I'd get some foamy upholstery spray, spray it in, agitate with a brush and try to remove with microfibre cloths or a workshop wet vac.

And going forward - fitted rubber mats and seats covers.

Thanks for your thoughts, VA.
Carpets and seats (perforated 'alcantara') have already been wet vac-ed with 'VAX Ultra Plus Carpet Solution Refresh' (orange label) by me which got it visually clean, before it went off to be valeted. It was OK initially but the smell has since returned.
So, a case of 'rinse & repeat' (or repeat & rinse!) with this purple label stuff?
The problem is not being added to any more, that was all the previous owner.

I think you're going to have to wait until the weather improves before giving it another couple of goes with the wet vac unless you have somewhere to house the car and dry it out. The Autoglym Odour Eliminator will be a better option than Febreze until you can clean it properly.

Oh for sure that was an early swap out, could have knitted a Shetland pony from the matter stored within!
