How ruinous could a 5 year old Panamera 4 e-Hybrid be?

I’m on the lookout for a new (to me) car.
I had been looking at BMW X5s in 45e form as well as the Mercedes GLE equivalent. Neither of these cars particularly excite me, but they do tick most of the boxes for practicality requirements.
I’ve had a diesel for a few years now in various BMW 3.0d forms and while the economy and power mix is nice I’ve never really been a fan of diesel engines.
After a little budget creep on the autotrader filters I started seeing a few Panamera Sport Turismos come up.
Between the Mrs and I the car would cover aprrox 20k miles per annum. There’s a 25 mile round trip done almost daily with the rest of the annual total made up of the odd 250-400 day trip for work.
Budget wise I could spend up to 60k, with approximately half of the purchase coming from the value of my current vehicle the rest made up of savings and borrowing.
Due to our fairly high annual mileage I’m trying to keep the mileage of the cars I’m looking at below 40k. This tends to limit me to cars that are approximately 5 years old.
I’m just a little concerned that I could potentially be taking a £40k bath in 3 or 4 years time, when I’d have a 100k mile 8-9 year old car on my hands.
Does this seem a realistic expectation, or am I being a little pessimistic?
In terms of running costs what sort of MPG could I expect on those longer runs?

Big fan of the Panamera…with the mileage you are doing I’d personally be looking at the S Diesel. It’s an awesome engine and suits the car really well. I’ve driven both the diesel and the hybrid as loan cars but a long time apart so couldn’t compare. I’d guess the Hybrid maybe gets 30 mpg.
I’d definitely recommend the warranty given mileage…I do similar miles every year in my Cayenne. Panamera is a great car but if anything goes wrong you will get the warranty cost back quickly.

Bear in mind the Sport Turismo has been scrapped in the 972 that's just come out. Might help hold up values a bit (reaching I know). I'm on my second ST and I love them, I do about 15k annual miles in my Turbo S and it just eats them up. Such a great car to cover long distances in. I get between 23 and 28 mpg which I don't think is too bad given a lot of those miles are in London. Get a V8!
