Evening all I’m just looking for any feedback on CTVR. I’m looking for a full carpet replacement (not the boot) as mine is just a bit too biege inside so I want to put new blue carpets in. CTVR are quoting around £1100+vat but my local ‘specialist’ can’t see how they can do it at that price as he says it’s 3 days labour + carpet etc which has spooked me a bit so looking for some reassurance on CTVR.

I have no reason to doubt CTVR as they seem to have a good rep and a long lead time but though no harm in asking on here

Cheers all

Hi, I previously used Specialist Sports Cars (Brierley Hill) - ex TVR Factory of 30 years exp. Andy fitted a set in my Griff, which looked perfect for me.

My trimmer charged £640 for:

Carpet fitting
Old carpet removed
Floors and relevant areas cleaned of old glue .
New kit fitted
Alpha high temp spreadable glue used for longevity
Rear hood bar fixings were already loose so on removal I decided to lathe the head flat and add new screws

Carpet set supplied by me.

I’ve used ctvr for various works over the years, but they are on the expensive side but never had any issues with them.
When Andy left ctvr and got his own unit i have been using him solely to do work on my car. Workmanship is excellent as well as great communication about any works he undertakes & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services.

I have just collected my Griffith from Adrian at Central TVR where they have just replaced the carpets, amongst other jobs. I have absolutely no complaints, great communication, I went for the basic carpets, nothing fancy and from my perspective I am over the moon with what they have done. I will be more than happy to return again in the future, not that it will happen soon with the amount of work Adrian carried out for me smile

If you look at the lads from Tools n Track on Youtube, they did a carpet out and refit within a day. There was one section they left in (around the beack where the speakers are mounted on the bulkhead) because they didn't want to take the roof off, but that wouldn't have equated to a further two days of work.

Are they quoting for the carpet to be cut and stitched, rather than using pre-cut shapes?

Cheers all, Ive had a great email exchange with Andy at Specialist cars, a chunk less than CTVR so will be using him, new carpets, new dash (swirly SS one) and dash lights upgraded to LED.

Andy does a great job, even puts the rear speaker wires through the sill channel.
