F90 M5C Ultimate pack Spare wheel

Hi guys,
Were planning another Euro trip and I'm looking to get a spacesaver in case of a issue in the Pyranees. Last year we did 6000 miles without incident, Until the last day when entering the carpark of our hotel in Pamplona. I had the lightest brush with the Kerb going into the carpark and sliced the sidewall.

Had a nightmare the next day finding tyres and a mad mad rush to get to the ferry.....

I'd rather not repeat that again (I know, Just avoid kerbs etc etc lol)

has anyone found a decent spacesaver that would clear the gold calipers

If you end up in the same situation, would a spacesaver even be good enough to get you all the way to the ferry...quickly?

Only supposed to be used to get you to a tyre fitter really (IIRC within 50 miles, and at less than 50mph).

Wouldn't a full-size spare front wheel & tyre, in the smallest OE size that fits over the brakes, be a better option?

Part of the delay was waiting for a low loader to collect us to take to the tyre place..

I'm probably more concerened with being stuck on a remote Pyrnees mountain road.....
